Designing with the CS90 Family of Configurable Switch Array (CSA)

Learn how to utilize CS90 CSA architectural resources effectively. This course includes an overview of the CS90 family of CSAs; the dataCrossconnect and the Configurable Packet Engines (CPEs); the built-in MAC/PCS/SERDES (MPQ) block and the external Memory Controller (MemC); global and I/O clocking techniques; embedded memories and FIFOs; and source synchronous resources. A combination of modules and application examples allow for practical understanding of the principles taught in this course.

Use the Andara Software Development Tool Suite to implement a design and gain a firm understanding of the Cswitch CSA architecture as well as its design tools. This course includes an overview of the Andara Tool Suite; Design synthesis, place and route, constraints capture, and bitstream generator; Cswitch HDL design techniques and methodology; dataCrossconnect wizard and Macro Generator; PacketParser development tools; and Cswitch’s Graphical Explorer (geXp).
